The 30-year-old Okyere is reported to have been shot dead, at his residence at Mannet Cottage in Accra, by unidentified assailants, in what is being linked to threats he received over his tussle with Ghana’s Musician Union.
Neighbours claim to have heard struggles at about midnight in his house where he lived alone since the wife is currently staying with her mother to nurse their newly born child.
Neighbours, according to some close friends who visited the house, found his body in a pool of blood in his bedroom early Thursday morning.
Players in the showbiz industry and fans of Kwaw Kese, an artiste managed by the late Okyere, were stunned by the news, taking to social media with an outpouring of tweets in reaction to Fennec’s death Leading a pack of tributes, Kwaw Kese, who was said to have broken down in tears upon visiting the deceased’s home Thursday morning tweeted a photo of his manager wishing him a peaceful eternal rest.
